"Reverse Cargo Cult Altar"
"Reverse Cargo Cult Altar"
wood, paint, metal, wax
30" tall
2013

"Reverse Cargo Cult Altar" deals with the dying off of bee
colonies and plans to manufacture drone bees to continue pollination. It is a
'reverse cargo cult' in the sense that instead of fashioning natural materials
into technological representations in the hopes of material goods returning, we
are trying to fashion technology into natural species in the hopes of
ecosystems continuing.
